Remember the ZX Spectrum? Many of us here were brought up on the speccy with it's 2 colours per 8x8 pixel block and it's beeps and squeaks for sound. Here is our salute to that fantastic machine. You were either a Commodore or a Spectrum fan, never both! I was firmly in the Spectrum camp - as that was the hand fate dealt me - well Mum and Dad bought me for Christmas at least.
I look back now at all that wasted time hunched over an uncomfortable keyboard playing games with bad collision detection and terrible music, hitting the same keys repetitively over and over again, my how things have changed. I now spend my evenings hunched over a larger uncomfortable keyboard playing games where I just have to face in the right direction (sometimes) and with the music turned off as it gets soooo annoying, hitting the same keys over and …..over ………again…….uh - well at least I can drink beer now!
The Speccy stirs up many nostalgic memories of I am sure many people's childhoods. Wear it with pride, and if anyone asks - yes it is the 48k version!
